In 1994 in Mussolente (Vicenza), based on thirty years of experience in the field of tensioned coverings, the company A Tre Alban was founded, which changed its name to Special Coverings. Our firm has also always been a point of reference in the production and sale of coverings for travelling shows, events, exhibitions, and circuses.

Special Coverings specialises in the design and construction of different types of tensile structures and PVC coverings.

Constant evolution and the search for new solutions allow us to offer our clients tensile structures that meet aesthetic and total safety standards.

Moreover, thanks to the latest technological innovations, the design of PVC coverings uses new technologies for greater attention to the ecological and environmental aspects.

Special Coverings’ tensile structures and coverings are made of materials to EU standards: the membranes are made of PVC coated polyester, subjected to anti-mould and fireproofing treatments, in compliance with the safety regulations of many foreign countries. We also collaborate with technicians and engineers who ensure approvals of products in accordance with the law.

The market for our products has developed internationally: our clients come from France, Switzerland, Germany, England, Australia, USA, and have used our skills and the tensile structures we have made for exhibitions, films and events all over the world:

• in the USA, for Barnum’s Kaleidoscope, where some sequences of the film Ocean’s Eleven were shot, in 2002
• in Australia, for Circus Oz
• in South Korea (through one of our Australian clients) we supplied 2 covers of 50 × 50 m and 2 of 20×20 m for the 2012 Expo
• in Switzerland every year, for the Christmas gala on the island in the centre of Zurich, we have installed our own Circus “Conelli” and “Christmas Jump” at the Christmas Circus of the Knie family.
• in Rome, we provided the tensile structures for the film “Night before the Exams” shot at the Zoomarine park
• in Alaska, we supplied a circus tensile structure within a film
